Andrew -Fashion is a form of expression. Its a way for you to introduce yourself to people without having to speak.
Andrew – I don’t consider myself to be a fashionable person but more a creative person. Just like in the way I dress, I am creative in other ways too. People don’t see those other ways much and only see what I wear so they assume I’m a fashion person. But fashion just a small part of me. I have worked in the creative industries (advertising and marketing) for the past 10 years. My fashion sense grew from there.
Afroswagga – Tunajua Kuna Tofauti Kubwa Kati Ya Fashion Na Style, Tuambie Style Yako Unaaiitaje Na Uliwezaje Kupata au Kutengeneza Style Yako?
Anderw – I would call my style vintage retro. I like vintage and old-fashioned styles but also like adding a little bit of modern accessories to it.
Andrew – A nice watch, cologne and dress shoes. There is no need to spend money on expensive clothes as long as you have these 3 things.
Andrew – 1. Blazer/Jacket
2. Dress shoes
3. Plain dress shirt (White or Black)
Andrew – I will never wear skirts or rompers.
Andrew – 1. Make sure your accessories don’t match your clothes too much otherwise people won’t notice them. 2. Don’t accessorize too much. Just because you have it, doesn’t mean you need to wear it all the time. 3. Sometimes your accessories show your style and creativity more than your clothes so don’t be afraid to be adventurous and try out new accessories.
Andrew – Don’t try to wear too many things. Keep it simple and subtle.
– Always smell good. It adds to your aura and vibe.
– Try customizing what you wear so that you don’t look like everyone else. Go to a fundi to make or customize something that you already have. You don’t have to buy something from a shop and wear it as it is.
Andrew – Pharrell Williams.
Andrew – To me there is no dressing good or bad. There are people who dress differently to me and I would never dress like them but doesn’t mean they dress badly. I’m sure people look at me and think that they would never or don’t want to dress like me and that is fine. But there are people who dress to impress other people and I can automatically tell that they are not comfortable with what they are wearing or what they are doing. They are not comfortable or they are forcing it. To me that is not dressing well. So dressing well has to do with your attitude and your confidence as well as the clothes themselves.
Andrew – Wearing expensive or designer clothes does not necessarily make you fashionable. Fashion is about personality, not price tags.
