AFS: The escapade collection-unaweza tuelezea inspiration behind it?

Martin: Mostly my collection are inspired by the work of art, from fabric prints, nature and alot around that. For this time Escapade as been inspired by the color of nature.

AFS: Tuliona the collection ikiwa launched at MaweMawe Manyara, how did It all that happen, a fashion show in the beautiful wild?

Martin: fashion in the wild was the Idea brought by Lilian of safari haven.. and i jumped it as i was inspired by the Mawe mawe landscape and nature of Manyara.. am

AFS: From the collection tumeona umefanya collab na designer Anjari @ek_an_tik, how did the collab come about?

Martin: Collabo with Anjali, wow… first of all I have much respect for anjali and her brand .. and i believe she is the future of contemporary fashion designing kwa Tanzania kwa Ujumla. So when I was sketching I knew I have spot for tee in my collection, I have done collabo with Street of dar es salaam by AR, and this time I had to work with Anjali due to The color of their t-shirt .

AFS: Response ya watu ilikuwaje, a fashion show in the wild, maana wengi wamezoea Dar, venue zile zile?

Martin: First off all i didnt expect guest to show Up As it happened at the hotel in the wild.. but suprising we had team of Potential Clients and buyers.. so am Waiting to see what God has for me❤️❤️

AFS: Response ya watanzania on designer made ready to wear outfits ikoje? Maana wengi wako event oriented.

Martin: Mmmh bado bado its alot of work to change that.. but we gonna get there… ni kujenga imani kwa what we display and showing them way to Style their local Brand itatusaidia kubadilisha mtazamo wao katika uvaaji na ununuzi wa kazi wa ndani.

AFS: Assembling a team na picking the right people ni muhimu, models, photographers, MUA; what’s your strategy in ensuring kila kitu chaenda accordingly?

Martin: Ahahaahah i think for me my show, my photoshoot happened in my
Mind before everything, by that I write down my check list and go through it everyday till the day of the show… and boom 🦅

AFS: Having all this done for all these years requires discipline na dedication, ushauri wako kwa upcoming designers who aspire to have a long lasting career ni nini?

Martin: Fashion as a lot of pressure, disappointments and so much set
Back… Stay focus, do a lot of Research and waheshimu waliotangulia hata kama they don’t inspired You, there so much u can learn kwao

AFS: Wengi huhisi designers wapo for only the rich na celebrities, what’s your take and advice to people kuwaelimisha juu ya hili?

Martin: Ahahahah I used to think of that.. but the minute I learned I loose most precious moment by not working with watu wa kawaida niliachana na hiyo kasumba. Because for me its not about utajiri but ni kwa how many Lives I touch through fashion and designing.. how many people am Lighting up their days… so watu maarufu /celebrities ni only 20% for now kwa brand yangu. My 80% ni wenzangu na mimi wenye kutaka kuvaa na kupendeza Like Forward Copy Unsend
