Samuel : So Flo collection ni collection ambayo nimeidedicate kwa rafiki yangu, designer mwenzangu florinya kawa wa florinya designs… Inspiration ya #soflo ulikuja baada ya florinya kunishauri nijaribu kufanya plus size siku moja.  Sikufanya kazi na florinya per ce! But how we meet is one of the reasons she believed in me… Mwaka Jana nilishiriki Peroni fashion show ambayo ilikuwa organized by the legend ally rehmtulla and on the on the casting day, it happened that florinya was among the judges…

Afroswagga: Kwanini Jina Ni Soflo Collection,Sofo Collection Inamaanisha Nini

Samuel: So Flo collection ni collection ambayo nimeidedicate kwa rafiki yangu, designer mwenzangu florinya kawa wa florinya designs… Inspiration ya #soflo ulikuja baada ya florinya kunishauri nijaribu kufanya plus size siku moja.  Sikufanya kazi na florinya per ce! But how we meet is one of the reasons she believed in me… Mwaka Jana nilishiriki Peroni fashion show ambayo ilikuwa organized by the legend ally rehmtulla and on the on the casting day, it happened that florinya was among the judges…Baada ya kufanikiwa na kufanya Peroni, we ended up being friends… On and off chats and sometimes last year, I guess around June, we met again but at ally rehmtulla’s birthday party and we talked about it again… And now the rest is history… Hehe

Afroswagga: Kama ukiambiea umchague MTU maarufu avae hii collection yako ungemchagua nani?

Samuel: Kuhusu watu maarufu kuvaa Nguo zangu, you don’t have to be famous to wear my brand, you just have to be yourself… My designs cross cuts every field… And my future goal is to be dressing people from the grass root level and most especially the marginalized ones.. The ones who depend on fake stuffs in the name of cost effectiveness ….

Afroswagga: Idea ya kutumia different size of models ilikua nzuri Sana je? Ulipata wapi ili wazo na ulivyo kuwa inatafuta hawa models ulipitia ugumu gani?

Samuel: The idea of using different size models was inspired by my #rugged revolution… This is my project where by I use the cut out materials to do the patch work… In most auditions a lot of young, enthusiastic, full of hope models are left out so nikajisemea Kama I can use cut outs to make stunning outfits why should do the same to the people who are passionate about this industry.. That’s why I chose to use different models…

Na pia bonuzi alias Lilian patropa inspired me on he grand finale on SFW 2016 her walk, the curves and I was like damn, next year this is what I’m gonna do….

Samuel: Ningependa kuwaambia watanzania its high time they start supporting their own brands… Wajifunze kuvaa kutokana na budget zao… I do design depending on ones budget.. Even for 10 thousand one can  still dress and impress… So designers aren’t expensive, it’s that most people fail to understand what do they stand for… Designs vary, from the choice of material, time frame, how limited its edition is and the like…
